Committed Capital celebrates a double win at the EISA Awards 2026

Jul 13, 2026

It was a pleasure to return to the UK House of Lords on Wednesday 24th June, enjoy the sunshine on the terrace and catch up with so many dedicated individuals from across the EIS ecosystem. The commitment of those working with SMEs to create jobs, foster innovation, and drive economic growth across the UK continues to be truly inspiring.

EISA Impact Award 2026 – Kortext

We were honoured to win the EISA Impact Award 2026, sponsored by Shoosmiths, for demonstrating a significant and positive impact through our investment in world leading edtech portfolio company, Kortext.

The award evaluates the social, economic, or environmental benefits of the investment and its alignment with the organisation’s long-term impact strategy. The judges noted that standout submissions demonstrated both measurable impact and strong commercial progress, proving that purpose and performance can go hand in hand.

Committed Capital first invested in Kortext in 2016 and remains its largest institutional shareholder, having followed our investment across several funding rounds. In 2025/26, Kortext secured landmark contracts with Follett and Campus eBookstore Inc., extending its reach to over six million students across 1,150 North American campuses, alongside a further agreement covering 62% of New Zealand’s universities. New wins have been driven in large part by the quality of Kortext’s overall product offering and has resulted in sharply improved revenues from £27m in 2024/5 to some £43m in 2025/6.

The human impact is equally compelling. Kortext’s StREAM analytics platform identifies at-risk students up to eight weeks before withdrawal; at Keele University alone, non-continuation rates fell from 6.8% to 3.4%. The company now serves all 170+ UK higher education institutions and over three million student accounts globally.

“Winning the EISA Impact Award is a tremendous honour and a reflection of the work the entire Kortext team has put in over the past decade. We set out to make higher education more accessible and more effective, from the UK to North America and beyond. The recognition from EISA validates not just our commercial progress, but the genuine difference we are making to students’ lives every day.”

Best EIS Investee Company 2026 – Healthera

We were also delighted to see Healthera, one of our EIS portfolio companies, win the Best EIS Investee Company Award 2026, sponsored by RW Blears, recognising an outstanding start-up that has raised investment through the EIS in the last 18 months.

The judges observed that this year’s entries spanned health tech, fintech, consumer and beyond, demonstrating real innovation, meaningful impact, and strong commercial momentum. Healthera was a worthy winner on all three counts.

Founded in 2015 by Cambridge University engineer Quintus Liu, Healthera is the UK’s leading pharmacy SaaS platform, connecting over 1,800 pharmacies with one million consumers. The business achieved 53% year-on-year revenue growth, and its Healthera Clinic service enabling pharmacists to run private virtual consultations grew from launch to 29% of total revenues within a single quarter.

Internationally, Healthera’s partnership with McKesson, one of North America’s largest pharmaceutical distributors, has already reached approximately 450 Canadian pharmacies, with 1,000 targeted by the end of 2026.

“This award means a great deal to everyone at Healthera. We built this business to solve a real problem, making medicine more accessible to the people who need it most. Seeing that mission recognised by the EIS Association, alongside the extraordinary commercial momentum we have built, is deeply motivating. We are only just getting started.”

A Note of Thanks to Our Investors

Recognition of this kind does not happen without the trust and commitment of the investors who stand behind us. Winning two EISA Awards in a single year, for both impact and investee company excellence, is a reflection of what patient, purposeful EIS capital can achieve. None of it would be possible without you.

The companies we back, and the lives they improve, depend on investors who share our conviction that early-stage UK technology businesses can deliver both meaningful impact and compelling returns. Your continued support gives us the platform to find those businesses, back them through their growth journey, and stand beside them as they realise their potential on a global stage.

Kortext and Healthera are two outstanding examples of what that partnership produces. We are immensely proud of both companies.

“Our investors are partners in every sense. They share our belief that the UK’s most innovative businesses deserve patient, hands-on support, and moments like this, winning recognition for both the impact we create and the quality of the companies we back, remind us why that long-term commitment matters so much. Thank you for making this possible.”
